Win a Honda S2000 GT!

That’s right, last year one lucky winner drove away in a Ford Focus ST, this year we’re giving you the chance to drive away in one of the best sports cars ever made!

The Honda S2000 ticks all the boxes for the performance car enthusiast, well-balanced, beautiful to drive, rear-wheel drive and a 2.0-litre engine that screams all the way to an 8,800rpm redline! Over the coming months the team will be working on the car  to transform this already great car into every motoring enthusiasts dream drive!

For your chance to win this car look out for the Win a Car tent in the main paddock area of the following shows:

Japfest - Silverstone 30th April

Japfest Donington – Donington 1st July

The Fast Car Festival – Donington 2nd July

TRAX – Silverstone 1st October (where the winner will be announced).

If you’re an avid reader of Fast Car, you’ll already know that the guys love a Honda or two. In fact, every single one of them on the team has owned one at some point. Model wise they’ve had everything from a Civic EF, EG, EK and EP to a 3rd gen Prelude and a JDM DC2 Integra Type R. So, when it came to choosing this year’s competition car a Honda was an easy choice, as three things they can all agree on are they’re great fun to drive, very reliable and great to modify. The only real issue was choosing what model. But, after many a late night down the pub their debate concluded we should buy either an EP3 or an FN2.

Digital Editor Glenn started the search and as you would expect he found plenty of EP3s that came in under the budget and a few FN2s as well. But, he also found something else, something RWD, with two seats and no roof. Yep, you guessed it, the Honda S2000, which they previously thought would be over the £5k budget. But, there’s an old saying in the car industry and that’s ‘roof goes down, price goes up’ when buying any rag-top in the summer, after all, that’s when everyone wants one. So obviously, that’s the exact opposite when it comes to buying in the winter.

With the above in play, this meant they managed to pick up this 2002 S2000 GT for just £5k, a full £1k cheaper than it was originally advertised because the owner didn’t want to be stuck trying to sell it over the winter. They’ve certainly got their hands on a great car as well; the car was previously owned by a Honda mechanic, has great full service history and very straight bodywork. It also came with a set of Toyo Proxes and a hard top, these along can cost between £750-£1k!

We’ll keep this page updated with any changes over the coming months, so stay tuned to see what you could win?
